April 28, 2012 10AM - 2PM Hampden Senior Center The Hampden Police Department and the Town of Hampden Board of Health in coordination with the DEA participated in the Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative. This was conducted on April 28th from 10AM to 2PM at the Hampden Senior Center. The collection totaled more than 50 pounds worth of prescription medication, which was transported, and then destroyed by the DEA. This has been a very successful program and we hope it continues. Information will be provided on our website if further Presciption Drug Take Back Days are scheduled.
Blackboard Connect Sign-Up
The Town of Hampden is pleased to announce the launch of the Blackboard Connect service, our new city-to-resident notification system. With this service, town leaders can send personalized voice messages to residents and businesses within minutes with specific information about time-sensitive or common-interest issues such as emergencies and local community matters. The Connect service will be used to supplement our current communication plans and augment public safety/first responder services.

April 14 - We made it through the winter, if that is what you want to call it, and now charge forward to Spring. At the police department, we always appreciate an easy winter. Accidents were way down from the normal rate during the winter months. The winter parking ban was lifted on April 1st allowing on street parking. Now that the nice weather is upon us, please be aware of the many bicyclists and pedestrians that travel the roads. To continue reading click here.
